Health Livelihood Promotion in Kilombero Valley
Vagaries of nature, poor health conditions, illiteracy: Many smallholder farmers in Africa live under the poverty line. Among these, women are often the worst affected. Since 2012, KV-HELP is supporting women’s Self-Help Groups offering innovations to improve rural livelihoods in the Morogoro Region in Tanzania. It focuses on three main key areas that reinforce each other: Saving & Lending; Food Security & Micro-Entreprise; and Health Protection and Promotion.
KV-HELP is a politically and religious independent NGO:
It believes in a strong knowledge sharing culture and the
power of local entrepreneurship. Amongst its core values are transparency and mutual respect.
