The NGO “KV-HELP” has been active in rural Tanzania since 2012. It is a spin-off of the “ACCESS Program”, a long-standing venture between the Novartis Foundation, the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) and the Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) in Tanzania (2003 – 2011). ACCESS improved the people’s access to quality medical care.

KV-HELP is run by Tanzanians. It supports a vast network of women’s Self-Help Groups in remote rural Morogoro Region. It is firmly anchored in Tanzania’s health and social system and still maintains close ties to IHI in Tanzania as well as to partners in Switzerland.
